Line & Shape
What is the distance in the shot? (How close or far away are you from your subject?)
For image 1, I was very close to the shot. I got real low and focused on the bike racks. I took this photo outside of the Engineering Design class room where the bike racks are.
What was your point of view when you took the photos? (from above, below, straight on...)
I was looking at the image straight on when I took it. I got down to one knee and took the photo straight on.
Are your photographs horizontal or vertical?Did you consider the rule of thirds to compose your shots? In which photos? Describe.
All of my photos are vertical. A straight up and down picture, I don't like to turn my head.
Which one of of your photos is a dynamic composition that successfully leads the viewer’s eye through the work?
I think either image 1 or image 5 are the best ones out of the bunch because the focal point on all of them are in a real good spot

Pattern & Texture
What is the distance in the shot? (How close or far away are you from your subject?)
In my favorite photo, I wasn't far away from the shot, but I also wasn't close up. I was somewhere in the middle of far and close.
What was your point of view when you took the photos? (from above, below, straight on...)
The point of view in the photo to the top left was head on. I didn't climb up on anything or get low, I just took the image through the window to the classroom.
Is your photograph horizontal or vertical?
My photo is vertical, straight up and down because i do not like to turn my head.
Does this photo follow the rule of thirds? Why or why not? (Describe)
Yes because there are points of view in each section
.Is this photo an example of pattern, texture and/or rhythm? Explain.
Pattern because there are a bunch of different desks in the same positions
Which one of your images is the best example of correct exposure. Explain why.
The photo to the top left because it is the perfect amount of black and white. It isn't too dark or too light, it's somewhere in the middle

Painting with Light
Describe one of your photos from painting with light.
The photo on the bottom left started off as a joke. I quoted Disney by saying, "Hi, my name is Devon Molina and you're watching Disney Channel," but the picture actually came out real cool.
What shutter speed did you have the camera on?
1/30
What light source did you use to create the painting?
A blue stick light, not exactly sure what it was.
How did you achieve the image/effect?
I just moved the light the way I wanted it too look and Nate took the picture at the right time.
What impact does the photo have? How would the viewer feel looking at your photo?
I think if someone was looking at the photo I chose to write about, they would laugh and think about their childhood or their children maybe.

Approximately what shutter speed did you use to freeze action?
1/200
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
I have no clue what either of those things mean
If you were on a point and shoot camera, what setting(s) did you use?
I just used the normal setting i always use, I'm not sure what setting it is
What action did you freeze? (Describe).
I froze the first picture of myself jumping off the rock bench
What was your distance, and point of view for the photo?
The point of view was low on the ground facing me, but also pointing up, the picture was I'd say was about 10 ft away from me.
Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strenghthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, contrast...)
I think the colors are important for the picture, they all quardinate w/ each other
Approximately what shutter speed did you use to purposely blur action?
1/30
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
Not exactly sure
If you were on a point and shoot camera, what setting(s) did you use?
The same setting as the first one
What motion, or part of the image shows blur?(Describe).
I was jumping off the rock again just like the first photo
What was your distance, and point of view for the photo?
The picture was taken in the same spot as the first one
Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strenghthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, contrast...
I like the color of the ground w/ my shoes, I think it makes me stand out

Depth & Aperture
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a shallow depth of field?
I set the camera to 1/30 for the depth of field pictures
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
To be completely honest with you, I have no clue what ISO or WB i used to take these pictures, it was all different
Which photo is better? Why?
My favorite photo is the middle picture in the second row, but the best depth of field picture is definitely the picture in the top row, second picture in. The headphones are focused and my phone is blurry, thats why its the best picture
Why would you want to use a shallow depth of field?
Because you don't want the photo to be too blurry because you won't be able to see anything
When/in what situation would a large depth of field be better?
When the object you're shooting is close to the camera

Phillippe Halsman
The light is coming directly in the front of her
The position of model is looking at the camera
The background looks like the interior of a home, drapes and walls
The point of view is eye level, if you were standing
The lighting and position of the photographer seems to be serious

Double Exposure
I chose both of these photos for double exposure
In the first photo, it's just Destiney two times, there's no meaning behind it or anything. The second picture has to do with skateboarding. There's this company called Thrasher and it honestly has a lot to do with the Baphomet which I always found interesting, that's why I chose that picture
I layered them and faded one of the pictures
These two images don't relate conceptually
The meaning of the second photo is to skate hard and be your own person because who cares?
